Media release: KCL Law welcomes three new lawyers — Adnan Meher, Daniel Bean and Amy Landberg

KCL Law is delighted to announce the recent appointment of three new lawyers to the firm, including:

  • Adnan Meher, Senior Associate — Commercial and Corporate and Intellectual Property and IT;
  • Daniel Bean, Senior Associate — Employment and Workplace Relations; and
  • Amy Landberg, Associate — Property.

Adnan Meher, Senior Associate — Commercial and Corporate / Intellectual Property and IT

A member of our Commercial and Corporate and Intellectual Property and IT teams, Adnan’s practice includes advising major Australian and International FMCG brands and Australian sporting bodies on the protection of their intellectual property and advising them on their general commercial needs.

With a focus on consumer goods and retail, Adnan specialises in patents, trade marks, copyright and design matters and has provided strategic commercial and intellectual property advice to some of the world’s leading brands and has acted in litigious intellectual property matters in the Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court of Australia.

Adnan also has extensive commercial and corporate experience, including capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements and contracts and corporate restructuring, and has a deep understanding of the Corporations Act and Privacy Act. He has worked with corporations based in the USA, UK and China on IP commercialisation and corporate restructuring, and worked on innovative deals primarily for tech, fin-tech and medical companies.

Daniel Bean, Senior Associate — Employment and Workplace Relations

Daniel advises on all aspects of employment and industrial relations law, with a particular focus on employment disputes and litigation. He assists a wide range of clients, including employers and employees, start-ups to medium-size businesses, and not-for-profits, from various industries, including hospitality, retail and wholesale, manufacturing, health services, aged-care, property and government, and other service-based businesses.

Daniel has extensive experience drafting and advising on employee contracts, policies, awards, and flexible workplace agreements, as well as advising on unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, joint venture agreements, dissolution of companies, and contract dispute negotiations. He is an experienced litigator and a skilled negotiator, and regularly appears across all civil jurisdictions, including conciliation and hearings at the Fair Work Commission, mediations, conferences and hearings at the Federal Court and the Federal Circuit Court, discrimination and sub-contractor disputes at VCAT, and matters in the Magistrates’ Court Industrial Division.

Amy Landberg, Associate — Property

With over 10 years’ experience, Amy’s practice includes advising small-medium businesses, investors and property developers on a broad range of property matters, including commercial, industrial and residential sales and purchases, transfers of property, retail and commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants and advising on lease disputes.

Amy’s approach to her practice is to provide efficient, commercially prudent advice and goes above and beyond for her clients to achieve the best outcomes.
