For almost 20 years, Damien has specialised in construction and infrastructure law, partnering with leading builders, civil contractors and trade partners and developers to deliver tenders, negotiate contracts, provide project consulting and offer strategic dispute resolution. He is committed to fostering strong client relationships, mentoring colleagues and overseeing partnership responsibilities.
Damien advises on medium-to-large scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, education, health and infrastructure projects, utilising both Australian and international standard and bespoke contracts. He represents clients in litigation, arbitration and other ADR across all Australian jurisdictions.
His expertise extends to Australian consumer law, insolvency, distressed projects, insurance, proportionate liability, security of payment, PPSA, negligence and equity and he regularly conducts legal and administrative training for clients.
Damien holds a Master of Construction Law with Honours from The University of Melbourne and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Society of Construction Law Australia.
