Latest news: KCL Law’s Estate Group lends a helping hand to RSPCA Victoria

Mar 18, 2022

Earlier this week, our Estate Group participated in the RSPCA Victoria’s Corporate Support Day program at the Burwood East Shelter to learn all about the amazing work undertaken by RSPCA Victoria.

The RSPCA Victoria Corporate Support Day program provides corporate organisations the opportunity for staff to have an immersive, hands-on and truly unique experience to learn more about animals and their wellbeing, and of course, unite and bond as a team to contribute to a great cause.

Jennifer Maher, Principal Lawyer in our Estate Group, said: “The RSPCA Corporate Support Day provided our team the unique opportunity to work together in support of a worthy cause while providing a greater understanding and appreciation of RSPCA’s animal welfare work.”

“The day was enormously rewarding. In the morning, we assisted with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the shelter. Our efforts were rewarded with a guided tour of the shelter and some one-on-one time with the shelter animals in the afternoon.”

RSPCA Victoria is a non-government, community-based charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. RSPCA Victoria undertakes a range of community services, including operating six animal care centres across Victoria, providing refuge, care and new homes where possible to more than 20,000 animals each year.

RSPCA Victoria relies on the generous support of the community and businesses to provide life-changing and life-saving services for animals and to achieve their vision of ending cruelty to animals.
