Superannuation

For many Australians, superannuation is their biggest or second biggest asset. While many Australians have a Will, surprisingly very little thought is put into the passing of superannuation (and any associated insurance benefits) on death.

KCL Law’s Estate Group has expertise across all aspects of estate planning, including the passing of superannuation (and associated benefits).

We provide clients with advice on how to protect their superannuation (by making sure they have appointed the correct controllers of their superannuation) on incapacity and that their wishes are met as to who benefits, on their passing.

 Estate Group can provide advice in relation to:

  • death benefit nominations;
  • powers of attorney for self-managed super fund;
  • superannuation death benefit disputes; and
  • transfers of property in and out of superannuation.
