KCL Law is delighted to announce the recent appointments of Trent Chugg as Special Counsel in the firm’s Banking and Finance practice and Morgan Scholz as a Senior Associate in our Property practice.
Trent Chugg, Special Counsel — Banking and Finance
Trent brings to the firm over 20 years’ experience and knowledge in all areas of corporate finance, including real estate investment and development finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, infrastructure finance and structured receivables and asset-based finance. He also advises with respect to distressed debt restructuring.
Trent has considerable experience advising both bilateral / club lenders and arrangers of debt finance products, (including international and domestic trading banks, and non-bank credit and super funds), as well as leading corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors. His past experience includes working for a number of international law firms, including Ashurst and Linklaters, as well as investment banking advisory firm Barclays Capital.

Morgan Scholz, Senior Associate — Property
With over six years’ experience in property law, Morgan’s practice focuses on commercial property transactions with a particular emphasis on sales and acquisitions, leasing and licensing, due diligence and developments. He has advised a wide range of clients ― including private corporations, publicly listed companies and institutional funds, as well as acting for both landlords and tenants — on a broad range of property and leasing related matters. Morgan’s past experience includes working for the Property and Development teams at Russell Kennedy Lawyers and Arnold Bloch Leibler.
